Posee una superficie de 213.800 hect\u00e1reas pertenecientes a la ecorregi\u00f3n Monte de Sierras y Bolsones. En el a\u00f1o 2019, fu\u00e9 elegido como una de las 7 Maravillas Naturales de Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>En el a\u00f1o 2000 la UNESCO (Organizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas para la Educaci\u00f3n, la Ciencia y la Cultura) declar\u00f3 <strong>A UNESCO World Heritage Site<\/strong>, el \u00e1rea compuesta por el Parque Nacional Talampaya y el Parque Provincial Ischigualasto, denomin\u00e1ndolos Parques Naturales Ischigualasto \/ Talampaya.<\/p>\n<p>La zona habilitada al turismo est\u00e1\u00a0restringida a ciertos sectores que se organizan en diversos recorridos que se detallan mas abajo.<\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<\/div>\n<h4>ISCHIGUALASTO PROVINCIAL PARK (San Juan)<\/h4>\n<p>Es un Parque Provincial Sanjuanino de 63.000 hect\u00e1reas de extensi\u00f3n, mas com\u00fanmente conocido como \u00abValle de la luna\u00bb, que en conjunto con Talampaya forman una sola unidad continua, un unico sitio Ischigualasto-Talampaya donde se aprecia aflorando en superfice los sedimentos del peridodo Triasico completo. El l\u00edmite natural entre ambos parques y al mismo tiempo l\u00edmite interprovincial, es la cima de la formaci\u00f3n monta\u00f1osa baja denominada Sierra Morada la que cae abruptamente al oeste, por lo que vista desde el Valle de la luna se le denomina \u00abLas barrancas coloradas\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>La zona habilitada al turismo se organiza en un solo circuito de 3 horas de duraci\u00f3n en un recorrido vehicular con paradas intermedias para visitar el Museo de Sitio Dr. Willian Sill, y formaciones geol\u00f3gicas como el valle pintado, que por su particular paisaje se le dio el nombre de valle de la luna al sector, la cancha de bochas, a la que se accede en una corta caminata de unos 40 minutos, la esfinge, el submarino, el hongo y las barrancas coloradas. Tambi\u00e9n hay opciones de hacer caminata al Cerro Morado y Mountainbike.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Our Excursions<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>EXCURSION TO TALAMPAYA AND ISCHIGUALASTO:<\/strong>, Excursi\u00f3n\u00a0 FD -Full day-<\/p>\n<p>(en 1 d\u00eda de 07:00 AM a 08:30 PM)<\/p>\n<p>ITINERARIO:<\/p>\n<p>Parte de la Ciudad de La Rioja desde los Hoteles c\u00e9ntricos, comenzando a buscar a los pasajeros a partir de las 07 de la ma\u00f1ana para dirigirnos al parque Provincial Ischigualasto, mas conocido como Valle de la Luna en la Provincia de San Juan, arribando al Centro de Visitantes, donde se compran las entradas y asignan el turno para ingresar al Circuito. ingresamos al circuito en nuestros veh\u00edculos en caravana y con un Gu\u00eda del Parque encabezando la misma, haciendo un recorrido de 3-3,5 horas de duraci\u00f3n, con diversas paradas, tales como Valle Pintado, Cancha de Bochas, El Submarino, el Museo de Sitio, el Hongo y las Barrancas Coloradas, donde el Gu\u00eda expone en cada una de ellas, las caracter\u00edsticas del Parque, mientras se aprecia el singular paisaje y se tiene el tiempo para tomar fotograf\u00edas. Al finalizar el mismo continuamos viaje al Parque Talampaya arribando pasado el mediod\u00eda al Centro de visitantes, donde se compran las entradas y la Actividad o Experiencia que se desee realizar. De acuerdo al horario de ingreso asignado, se tendr\u00e1 mas o menos tiempo para el almuerzo en el Comedor del Parque. Luego los pasajeros ingresan en veh\u00edculos del Concesionario o Permisionario con Gu\u00eda habilitado del Parque y una vez finalizada la misma, trasbordan a nuestros veh\u00edculos para regresar a la Ciudad de La Rioja, arribando aproximadamente a las 08:30-9pm.<\/p>\n<p>El orden de visita de los Parques es a exclusiva decisi\u00f3n de la Empresa, pudiendo ser invertido comenzando en la ma\u00f1ana por Talampaya y continuando en la tarde por Valle de la luna.<\/p>\n<p>Normalmente en esta excursi\u00f3n de 1 d\u00eda a ambos Parques, el tiempo alcanza para realizar el circuito tradicional de 3-3,5 horas en Valle de la Luna y una sola actividad o experiencia de 2,5 o 4 horas de duraci\u00f3n en Talampaya, las que se detallan a continuaci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<p><strong>\u201cTalampaya Canyon\u201d Experience:<\/strong>\u00a0Duration: 2.5 hours\n\nThe excursion takes place along the course of the Talampaya Seco River, through the canyon that bears the same name. It is carried out in vans or minibuses operated by the concessionaire, accompanied by an authorized park guide, who leads the group.\n\nThe vehicles stop at each of the four stations included in this itinerary, where short walks are made in order to interact with the area\u2019s natural environment. Along the route, visitors travel between imposing 150-meter-high reddish rock walls, which allow appreciation of petroglyphs and geological formations such as El Rey Mago, El C\u00f3ndor, La Torre, El Botell\u00f3n, El T\u00f3tem, and the Gothic Cathedral, ending at El Monje.\n\nThe excursion also includes observation of native flora in the Botanical Garden, as well as local wildlife such as foxes, guanacos, maras, rheas, and condors.<\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<p><strong>\u201c4\u00d74 Adventure to Talampaya Canyon and Shimpa\u201d Experience:<\/strong>Duration: 3 or 4 hours\n\nThis circuit is an extension of the previous one and lasts three or four hours, depending on the assigned entry time. It includes a catering service enjoyed in a spectacular natural setting.\n\nThe excursion is carried out in a modern four-wheel-drive vehicle, which travels along complex and sandy roads, providing visitors with a high level of comfort thanks to its large panoramic windows. These vehicles allow passengers to experience the adrenaline of driving along winding routes, while also enjoying the open air and sunlight throughout the journey.\n\nThe itinerary includes visits to five stations within Talampaya Canyon: Petroglyphs, the Botanical Garden, The Cathedral, The Monk, and Shimpa Canyon, where a short walk is taken into the canyon before returning.\n\nThe excursion is accompanied by a driver and a guide authorized by the National Parks Administration. The possibility of riding on the roof or through the roof hatches of the vehicle depends on the specific vehicle available.<\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>For the following Trekking options, please contact us<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<p><strong>Don Eduardo Gorge and Talampaya Canyon:<\/strong>Duration: 5 hours\n\nThis excursion consists of transferring passengers in authorized vehicles from Base C\u00f3ndor to the Quebrada Entrance. From there, the group enters the gorge on foot, accompanied by a park guide, following the designated trail and walking over a sandy riverbed.\n\nAlong the route, visitors pass through striking geological formations such as \u201cEl Flautista,\u201d \u201cLa Olla,\u201d and \u201cEl T\u00fanel,\u201d reaching the La Falla Viewpoint. From this point, the route descends through the \u201cGothic Labyrinth\u201d to the dry riverbed of the gorge and continues on foot alongside the imposing cliff walls that separate the area from the Great Talampaya Canyon, returning to the entrance.\n\nAt the end of the walk, passengers board the vehicles again to return to Base C\u00f3ndor.<\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<p><strong>Trekking in the Talampaya Canyon:<\/strong>Duration: 3 hours\n\nThe excursion departs from Base C\u00f3ndor to the Quebrada Entrance by vehicle, where a walk begins along the bed of the Talampaya River, between the imposing cliff walls of Talampaya Canyon, passing through \u201cLos Petroglifos\u201d and the \u201cBotanical Garden.\u201d\n\nFrom there, the route returns to the Canyon Entrance, where passengers board the vehicles again to return to Base C\u00f3ndor.<\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<p><strong>Trekking in Rainbow Canyon:<\/strong>Duration: 3 hours\n\nThis excursion consists of transporting passengers in authorized vehicles departing from Base \u00c1guila, located on National Route 76, traveling upstream along the bed of the Ontiveros River to the vicinity of the Arco Iris Canyon Entrance. From there, a walk begins into the canyon, following the Ontiveros River bed, where visitors can observe the different strata displaying a wide variety of colors.\n\nA short detour is made to \u201cLa Lagunita,\u201d which usually contains residual water during the summer season. The route then continues back into the canyon, reaching the base of \u201cEl Anfiteatro,\u201d at the foot of Mogote Negro.\n\nFrom this point, the group returns to the Canyon Entrance, boards the vehicles, and travels back to Base \u00c1guila.<\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<p><strong>Trekking in Ciudad Perdida (The Lost City):<\/strong>Duration: 4 to 5 hours\n\nThis excursion consists of transporting passengers in authorized vehicles departing from Base \u00c1guila, located on National Route 76, traveling upstream along the bed of the Ontiveros River to the confluence with the El Portillo River. The route then continues along this river until reaching the Gualo River, which is followed upstream to \u201c\u00c1rbol Hotel,\u201d where the walking portion of the excursion begins.\n\nThe walk follows the trail authorized by the National Parks Administration, crossing sparse woodland to reach \u201cLos Miradores,\u201d where visitors are rewarded with a first panoramic view of the geological formation known as \u201cCiudad Perdida,\u201d located within a depression. From there, the route descends along a marked path into the interior of the formation, where a network of labyrinth-like passages is explored, walking along the beds of small streams that resemble narrow streets between formations similar to buildings.\n\nThe itinerary continues through the \u201cLos Lagartos Canyon,\u201d where curious geological formations can be observed, reaching the vicinity of Mogote Negro Hill.
