The park features multicoloured canyons, petrified tree trunks more than 250 million years old, pre-Hispanic remains and remarkable rock formations shaped over millions of years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> All circuits in the park must be undertaken with a local guide from Parque Natural El Chifl\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Este parque forma parte de la <strong>Cuenca Geol\u00f3gica Ischigualasto &#8211; Villa Uni\u00f3n<\/strong>, perteneciendo tambi\u00e9n al Periodo Tri\u00e1sico. Por ello, en el lugar podremos apreciar geoformas dadas por la erosi\u00f3n de las areniscas sedimentarias con sus capas multicolores. Acompa\u00f1an a las geoformas troncos petrificados y vestigios de comunidades originarias prehisp\u00e1nicas.<\/p>\n<p>We depart from La Rioja at 7:00 a.m. Upon arrival at the park, passengers must hire a local guide before entering the park and beginning the circuit.<\/p>\n<p>The Traditional Hiking Circuit takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours to complete.
