Mountain excursion ascending to the Morro viewpiont in the Sierra del Velasco. Departing from La Rioja city, we visit the western residential area of the city, including Las Padercitas, La Quebrada, the tunnel, and Los Sauces Dam. We then ascend the mountain along a narrow, rocky cliffside road, enjoying panoramic views of the city, the dam, Sanagasta, and the plains of La Rioja. Reaching the ridge of the mountain, we arrive at the paragliding and hang-gliding launch site, where pilots practice daily flights. Visitors may witness these daring flyers at the very moment of their leap into the void. Guests may choose to return to the valley by tandem paragliding or hang-gliding flight with an expert instructor (this is optional, with extra cost and prior reservation required).
