Condor Watching - Horseback Riding and/or Trekking Condor's Balcony – One-Day Excursion Options to book: lunch, horseback riding, and guide Departure: 7:00 am – Return: approximately 9:00 pm Excursion to Condor's Balcony. Departure from La Rioja toward Punta de los Llanos, Tama, and Paca Tala. We ascend into the Sierra de los Llanos along mountain tracks that cross streams and scenic landscapes, reaching Estancia Santa Cruz de la Sierra and arriving at the Condor Gorge tourist Estancia. From there, we enjoy a 2-hour horseback ride or hike to Condor's balcony, where we stop for about one hour to observe the flight of this majestic bird. Depending on the day, we may witness flocks of 12, 20, or even up to 40 condors soaring around us. We return around siesta time to enjoy a delicious homemade lunch or a traditional mate gathering at the Estancia.
