Departing from La Rioja city, we visit Las Padercitas, La Quebrada, and Los Sauces Dam, the village of Sanagasta, and The Viewpoint. Ascending the scenic mountain road, we head toward Puerta de Huaco, where we leave the main road and continue by vehicle along a track into the Dinosaur Geological Park. From there, we begin a hike through the Red Valley, walking along intricate passages between red rock formations and ascending trails to the top of the cliffs, where we enjoy a spectacular panoramic view. The scientific importance of the Red Valley lies in the discovery within its sediments of dinosaur egg fossils and plant remains from the Cretaceous Period.
