A 4-day journey through southern La Rioja Province, with an overnight stay at a traditional countryside estancia from the XVIII century in the Sierras de los Llanos. The program combines mountain landscapes, local hospitality, regional food, and a guided horseback ride or trek to the spectacular Balcony of the Condors, a natural viewpoint overlooking the vast plains below.

1 | Arrival transfer from the airport or bus terminal to your hotel in La Rioja. |
2 | Journey to Quebrada de los Cóndores. Depart from La Rioja toward Punta de los Llanos, Tama, and Paca Tala, then climb into the Sierra de los Llanos along scenic mountain tracks bordered by streams and rugged landscapes. Arrival at Estancia Santa Cruz de la Sierra, a traditional countryside retreat in southern La Rioja, where you will spend the night in rooms with private bathrooms. Guests may enjoy the clear mountain streams, natural rock pools, and the peaceful setting. In the afternoon, share mate and homemade bread by the fire before a generous country-style dinner featuring regional specialties and local desserts. |
3 | After a traditional country breakfast, we set out on a 2-hour horseback ride or trek across the high meadows and granite outcrops of the sierra. Reach the dramatic natural balcony, home to Andean condors. From this spectacular vantage point, watch condors soaring at eye level — and sometimes even below — offering an unforgettable wildlife experience. After approximately one hour at the viewpoint, return to the estancia, where lunch is available, including optional roasted tender goat or other homemade dishes. |
